This original oil painting was inspired by stunning cloud formations around sunset time at Park Avenue in Arches National Park. Although this section of the park doesn't feature any arches, the sandstone rocks tower hundreds of feet above as you walk or drive through the area.
The artist chose a cooler palette for the foreground to draw your attention to the rock monuments and cloud formations and to help generate a calm feeling when gazing into the landscape scene.
Professional grade oil paints on canvas were used for the artwork. The piece is finished with a layer of clear protective gloss varnish. A frame is included with this painting, and a wire mount is installed on the back of the artwork so it is ready to hang when you receive it. Framed dimensions are 22.4"x28.4"x0.75".
