On a calm, cool morning in Great Sand Dunes National Park, the sun rises over the Sangre De Cristo mountain range to the east. Light begins to warm up the dunes, reaching more area as the sun rises higher into the sky. This painting was inspired by a Great Sand Dunes sunrise.
