This summer I visited Mt Rainier for the first time. On my last morning in the park, I drove up the mountain through dense fog, expecting to be disappointed with zero views of the mountain that day. When I came to this overlook past Reflection lake, the mountain emerged into view with the mist lower in the valley. The warm light on the mountain with the cooler shadowy foreground was so beautiful - I had to paint it!This oil painting was completed using professional grade paints on stretched canvas. A silver frame is included with the painting.
